04.06.2008 - Oris is the new STAR of the show
Oris has agreed a partnership deal for the 2008 Formula One season with the ESPN Star Sports channel. The deal includes both advertising and sponsorship for special sections of some of the most viewed Formula One programmes in the Asia-Pacific region.
Formula One is gaining rapidly in popularity in Asia, and ESPN Star has more than 40 million viewers for each race. As well as full live coverage of each Grand Prix the channel has two special F1 programmes. “Race Day” is a one hour special which previews each Grand Prix, and “Chequered Flag” gives a summary of the highlights of the day’s events, as well as race analysis and winners interviews.
The programmes two presenters, Paula Malai Ali and Steve Dawson, and their roving reporter, Sanjeev Palar, were all presented with Oris watches to wear. There is also a new Oris clock keeping time in the studio which has been designed in the style of the new Oris Williams F1 Team watches. Click here to watch the video and to see the clock.
In addition to advertising Oris is the new sponsor of the Driver’s Profiles section of the show as well as the countdown to the live race coverage.
Paul Phua, General Manager of Oris in Singapore and Malaysia, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Oris to become synonymous with Formula One in the Asia Pacific region. We look forward to keeping track of the rest of the 2008 Formula One season with ESPN Star.”
