Carlos Coste sets new record in world championships Carlos Coste AIDA 2009

15.01.2010 - Carlos Coste sets new record in world championships

Oris congratulates our free diving partner, Carlos Coste, on setting a new South American record at the AIDA individual world championships in the Bahamas.

Carlos secured joint 3rd place and the new record with a dive of -110m in the ‘Constant Weight’ (CWT) category.

It was Carlos’ second record this year. He set a new South American record of 215m in the ‘Dynamic with Fins’ category at the AIDA indoor world championships in Denmark in the summer.

Accompanying Carlos on his latest record-setting dive was the Oris ProDiver Chronograph.

In an interview after the competition Carlos told MyOris: “I’m now in Miami recovering from the world championships in the Bahamas. It was fantastic to set another new record. It has been a busy year and my training schedule has paid off. Thank you very much to the whole Oris team for your support in 2009!”
