Playing the Part of Genius. The Oris Jazz watch McCoy Tyner Limited Edition 1997.
Born in 1938 in Philadelphia, USA, McCoy Tyner is one of the most influential pianists and composers of contemporary jazz. Even listening to him as a young musician in John Coltrane’s quartet, his genius shines through. Whether working as a soloist, or in a range of ensembles from trio to big band, he is one of the most innovative performers of modern jazz.
In 1997 Oris launched the McCoy Tyner Jazz watch in a limited edition of 555 units. The Oris watch, in tonneau form, is inscribed on the case back with the signature of this dynamic jazz musician.
