Euler attends Taiwanese launch

30.11.2007 - Euler attends Taiwanese launch

A successful event was held in Taiwan on 13 November to launch the Oris Leonhard Euler Limited Edition.

Around 50 members of the press attended the event. A representative of Chao Yee, the official distributor, made an opening presentation in front of a Sudoku influenced stand. Her presentation told the story of Euler, Sudoku, and the Euler watch. Afterwards, the journalists were able to play Sudoku for themselves.
Also catching the eye of the press was a model dressed as Euler, truly looking the part due to his grey wig. It goes without saying that the event was well-covered in the Taiwanese media.
The Oris Leonhard Euler Limited Edition has been created to mark the 300th anniversary of the great mathematician’s birth. Limited to 1707 watches, all individually numbered, the watch boasts a Sudoku style dial and numerals, Euler’s portrait engraved on the case back, and a fine leather strap.
